Miles Overview
The 2020 Outback is a rugged wagon-like SUV that blends car-like comfort with genuine off-road capability. It competes with the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Jeep Cherokee, but stands apart with standard all-wheel drive. The Outback drives with a composed, planted feel, and its all-wheel drive inspires confidence on wet or snowy roads. The ride is smooth and absorbent over most surfaces, though the cabin lets in some road noise at highway speeds. Its tall wagon body offers generous cargo space and easy loading, with roof rails standard for extra gear. The 2.4L I4 makes 260 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque, paired with a automatic transmission and all-wheel drive for strong highway passing and confident all-weather grip, earning 26 mpg combined.
