Miles Overview
The Baja is Subaru's oddball crew-cab pickup, built on the Outback wagon platform with a small open bed. The rear seat folds down and the bed has a pass-through, so you can haul skis or lumber with the tailgate up. Owners praise the Baja's long-term reliability, though some report head-gasket leaks and finicky electrical gremlins as it ages. A locking center differential and a standard bed extender set the Baja Sport apart from the base model, making it the more off-road-ready choice. The 2.5L pairs with an automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, giving you sure-footed traction in loose dirt or snow while returning 20 mpg combined.
