Miles Overview
The Outback is Subaru's lifted wagon, a practical alternative to the typical SUV that still feels at home on gravel roads. It handles with a planted, confident feel that makes it easy to forget you're in a tall wagon. The cabin is straightforward and functional, with plenty of room for people and gear, though the rear seat is a bit snug for three adults. Owners praise its long-term reliability, but head gaskets and radiators can be trouble spots once the miles pile up. The 2.5i is the Outback you buy for its value and simplicity; the XT adds a turbocharger and more power, but this one keeps things straightforward and affordable.
