Miles Overview
This is Mercedes-Benz's full-size three-row SUV, the one you cross-shop with the BMW X7 and Audi Q7 when you need room for seven. The GLS rides smoothly and quietly, and the air suspension soaks up bumps while keeping body roll in check on corners. Inside, the cabin is genuinely spacious, with a third row that fits adults and a cargo area that swallows luggage with the seats folded. You get Mercedes' dual 12.3-inch screens, a touchpad controller, and a Burmester stereo on higher trims, all standard on the range. Its 3.0L I6 with EQ Boost mild hybrid assist feels smooth and responsive, and the nine-speed automatic shifts seamlessly around town or on the highway. You can swap the standard seven-seat bench for six captain's chairs at no extra cost, which makes the second row feel more like a luxury sedan.
