Miles Overview
The GLS is Mercedes-Benz's biggest SUV, the three-row flagship that seats up to seven in proper comfort. It's a big SUV that drives smaller than it looks, with a smooth, effortless feel whether you're cruising or hustling. The cabin is genuinely luxurious, with rich materials, a huge touchscreen, and third-row space that real adults can use. Expect premium running costs, from fuel bills to maintenance, but that's the price of this much luxury and capability. The GLS 450 is the entry point to the GLS lineup, sitting below the V8-powered GLS 580, the AMG GLS 63, and the ultra-luxurious Maybach GLS 600. Its 3.0L I6 makes 362 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, and the mild-hybrid system smooths out stops and starts. Standard AIRMATIC air suspension gives the GLS 450 a plush ride that soaks up bumps, and the cabin stays library-quiet on the highway.
