Miles Overview
The 2022 GLE-Class is Mercedes-Benz's midsize luxury SUV, offered in both traditional and coupe-like body styles. It takes on the BMW X5, Audi Q7, and Volvo XC90 in the competitive luxury SUV segment. The GLE drives with a composed, refined demeanor, and the available air suspension soaks up bumps while keeping body motions in check. Inside, the cabin is spacious and opulent, with a large dual-screen display and high-quality materials throughout. The GLE 63 S AMG sits at the top of the GLE lineup, above the GLE 350, GLE 450, GLE 580, and GLE 53, and it swaps some fuel efficiency for a hand-assembled V8 and AMG's most aggressive chassis tuning. Its hand-assembled 4.0L V8 makes 603 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque, routed through nine-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, and it'll pin you in the seat every time you step on it. The standard AMG Ride Control air suspension firms up in Sport+ mode, and the 63 S also gets active engine mounts and a limited-slip rear differential to help put that power down.
