Miles Overview
The GL-Class is Mercedes' full-size SUV, the one that seats seven and competes with the Escalade and the Range Rover. Despite its size, the GL feels surprisingly agile, with a commanding view and a ride that soaks up bumps without wallowing. Inside, the cabin is genuinely luxurious, with three rows of seating that adults can actually use in a pinch. Cargo space is generous, and the power-folding third row makes it easy to switch between people and gear. The GL 350 BlueTEC trades the GL 450's gasoline V8 for a diesel, which means you give up some horsepower but gain real-world range and strong low-end pulling power. The standard AIRMATIC air suspension keeps the ride composed over rough pavement and can raise the body for extra ground clearance when needed.
