Miles Overview
The GLE-Class is Mercedes-Benz's mid-size luxury SUV, the one that competes with the BMW X5 and Audi Q7. It drives with a commanding view of the road and a smooth, quiet demeanor that makes long trips effortless. The ride is plush and well controlled, soaking up bumps without feeling floaty. Inside, the cabin is roomy and upscale, with comfortable seats and a generous cargo area. The GLE 63 swaps the GLE 43's V6 for a hand-assembled 5.5L V8 that makes 550 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. That 5.5L V8 pairs with a seven-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, delivering effortless thrust that hits 60 mph in the low four-second range. It rides on AMG-tuned air suspension and gets massive brakes, so it handles its 5,203 pounds better than you'd expect.
