Miles Overview
The GLE-Class is Mercedes-Benz's mid-size luxury SUV, slotting between the GLC and the full-size GLS. It takes on the BMW X5, Audi Q7, and Range Rover Sport in the premium three-row SUV segment. The GLE rides smoothly and quietly, with a composed demeanor that suits long highway trips. Handling is secure and predictable, though the high seating position means some body roll in corners. Inside, the cabin is plush and spacious, with comfortable seats and a user-friendly infotainment system. The GLE 350 skips the AMG performance hardware of the GLE 450 and the diesel efficiency of the 300d, but it costs thousands less and still gets the smooth V6. Its 3.5L V6 makes 302 horsepower and pairs with a seven-speed automatic, returning 19 mpg combined in daily driving. The DYNAMIC SELECT system lets you toggle between Comfort, Sport, and Slippery modes, adjusting throttle and shift behavior to match the road.
