Miles Overview
The GLE-Class is Mercedes-Benz's mid-size luxury SUV, slotting between the GLC and the full-size GLS. It takes on the BMW X5, Audi Q7, and Range Rover Sport in the premium three-row SUV segment. The GLE rides smoothly and quietly, with a composed demeanor that suits long highway trips. Handling is secure and predictable, though the high seating position means some body roll in corners. Inside, the cabin is plush and spacious, with comfortable seats and a user-friendly infotainment system. A biturbo V6 and standard 4MATIC all-wheel drive set the GLE 400 apart from the base GLE 350, while the 450 AMG and 63 AMG sit above it with more power and sportier tuning. The 3.0L V6 makes 329 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque, paired with a seven-speed automatic that shifts smoothly and responds quickly to paddle inputs. AGILITY CONTROL suspension with selective damping lets you choose between a cushioned highway ride and firmer cornering, though the standard 19-inch wheels keep things comfortable.
