Miles Overview
The GLE is Mercedes' mid-size luxury SUV, the one you cross-shop with the BMW X5 and Audi Q7. It drives with a composed, planted feel that makes long highway miles easy, and the air suspension keeps things smooth. Inside, the cabin is a quiet, well-built place with plenty of room for five and a generous cargo area behind the second row. The infotainment system uses a large central screen with a touchpad controller, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. Its 3.0L V6 makes 329 horsepower and pairs with a nine-speed automatic, which is plenty for confident highway merging and passing. The standard Agility Control suspension with selective damping keeps the ride composed, but the trade is a firmer feel over sharp bumps.
