Miles Overview
The R-Class is Mercedes' large six- or seven-seat people mover, a minivan alternative with SUV styling. It drives with the calm, planted feel you expect from a big Mercedes, soaking up highway miles effortlessly. Inside, the cabin is genuinely spacious, with three rows of real seats and generous cargo room behind the third row. Sliding rear doors would make it more practical, but the wide-opening hinged doors still give easy access to the back. The R 350 is the entry point to the R-Class lineup, trading the R 500's V8 for a V6 and a lower starting price. Its 3.5L V6 and automatic transmission deliver smooth, quiet power, and the permanent all-wheel drive gives you all-weather confidence without a sporty edge. The R 350's ride is tuned for comfort over handling, so expect a soft, isolated feel on rough pavement rather than any pretense of sportiness.
