Miles Overview
The R-Class is Mercedes-Benz's large luxury crossover, a roomy six- or seven-seater that's more about comfort than off-road ability. It drives with the smooth, composed feel you expect from a Mercedes, soaking up highway miles with ease. Inside, you get a spacious cabin with three rows of seats and a generous cargo area behind the third row. Expect typical Mercedes ownership costs, with premium fuel and maintenance that runs a bit higher than average. The R 350 is the only R-Class trim for 2012, so you get the full package without having to decide between simpler or pricier versions. Its 3.5L V6 makes 302 horsepower and pairs with a seven-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, delivering smooth, confident power that handles highway merges without fuss. With six seats and 85.0 cubic feet of cargo space of max cargo space, the R 350 swallows seven people or a weekend's worth of gear with room to spare.
