The 2013 Outlander Sport is Mitsubishi's compact crossover, a smaller alternative to the Outlander and a value pick against the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4. It's light and nimble around town, with steering that's quick enough to make parking lots feel easy, though the engine needs revs to keep up on the highway. The ride is on the firm side, which keeps body roll in check but means you'll feel sharper bumps on rough pavement. Inside, the cabin is straightforward and roomy for four, with a decent cargo area and a tall seating position that gives good visibility. The SE sits between the ES and LE in the Outlander Sport lineup, adding fog lights and a rear spoiler while skipping the LE's leather-wrapped steering wheel.
