Miles Overview
The 2014 Beetle is Volkswagen's retro-styled compact, offered as a hatchback or convertible with a front-drive layout. It's genuinely fun to drive, with a smooth ride and enough pep to merge onto highways without flooring it. Inside, you get a chic cabin with nice leather details, plenty of headroom up front, and easy-to-clean surfaces. Some owners have had issues with the curved windows getting stuck and the window controls failing after water exposure. A sportier suspension and unique exterior styling set the R Line apart from the standard Beetle. The 2.0L I4 makes 210 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed manual, giving it a lively feel around town and on the highway. The R Line's firmer ride is the trade-off for sharper handling and a more connected feel through corners.
