Miles Overview
The 2009 Jetta is Volkswagen's compact sedan and wagon, the one you cross-shop with the Civic and Corolla if you want a more European feel. It has a solid, planted feel on the highway, and the steering is direct enough that you'll enjoy a twisty back road. Inside, the cabin feels more upscale than its price suggests, with soft-touch materials and a clean, simple layout. Expect routine maintenance to cost a bit more than a domestic or Japanese rival, and some owners mention electrical gremlins as the car ages. The 2009 Jetta sedan has a spacious back seat and a big trunk, yet it's not as playful as the GLI if you push it hard.
