Miles Overview
The 2019 Jetta is Volkswagen's compact sedan, slotting below the Passat and facing the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, and Mazda3. The turbo engine gives the Jetta eager response around town, and the ride stays composed on the highway. The cabin is roomy for four adults, and the trunk is generous for the class, making it a practical daily driver. Available features include a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus driver aids like blind-spot monitoring. Standard automatic emergency braking and a six-speed manual set the S apart from the SE, which adds an automatic transmission and more comfort features. The 1.4L I4 makes 147 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque, and the six-speed manual lets you row your own gears while the front-wheel drive sends power to the front wheels. You get a manual handbrake and cloth seats in the S, which keeps the cabin honest and the weight down to 2,888 pounds.
