Miles Overview
It's a fun little car to drive, with eager handling and a ride that's on the firm side, so you feel the road's imperfections. Inside, the cabin is stylish and comfortable up front, but the back seats are really only for kids or extra cargo. The base Classic trim is the most affordable way into a Beetle, skipping the SEL and Dune's extra equipment to keep the price down. Its 1.8L I4 makes 170 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic, giving it enough punch for daily driving while returning 28 mpg combined. You get a simpler audio system and manual seat adjustments here, but the Classic still has the same eager handling as pricier Beetles.
