Miles Overview
The Jetta GLI is Volkswagen's sporty compact sedan, the one that brings GTI-style fun to a more practical body. The GLI corners flat and communicates well through the steering, making it a joy on a back road. Inside, you get supportive sport seats and a clean layout, with a trunk that swallows a surprising amount of luggage. Its 2.0L I4 pairs with a six-speed manual, sending 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque to the front wheels; you'll see 35 mpg highway on the highway. You give up the Autobahn's adaptive dampers and larger infotainment screen, but the standard GLI chassis still delivers sharp handling.
