Miles Overview
The 2017 Golf GTI is Volkswagen's hot hatch, the one that made front-drive fun respectable. The ride is firm but controlled, so you feel the road without being beaten up on the daily commute. The hatchback body gives you a surprisingly roomy cargo area, and the rear seats fold flat for bigger loads. Stepping up to the Autobahn from the SE adds adaptive cruise control, a larger touchscreen, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The 2.0L I4 makes 220 horsepower and pairs with the automatic transmission to deliver strong acceleration through the front wheels. Only the Autobahn offers the Performance Package, which adds a limited-slip differential and bigger brakes for sharper cornering.
