2024 Volkswagen Tiguan S

The 2024 Tiguan is Volkswagen's compact SUV, slotting between the smaller Taos and the three-row Atlas. It competes with the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Mazda CX-5, offering a more European feel than most. The Tiguan's steering is light and accurate, and the ride is composed, though the engine can feel a bit laggy off the line. Its cabin is roomy for the class, with a third row optional on some trims and generous cargo space behind the second row. Standard IQ.DRIVE safety tech includes adaptive cruise control and lane keeping, plus a responsive touchscreen interface. The S trim starts with cloth seats and 17-inch wheels, skipping the SE's larger touchscreen and power liftgate to keep the price down. The front-drive S is the only trim that offers a usable third-row seat, which is rare for a compact SUV and handy for occasional extra passengers.
