Miles Overview
The 2023 Tiguan is Volkswagen's compact SUV, slotting between the subcompact Taos and the three-row Atlas. It competes with the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Mazda CX-5, offering a more European driving feel. The Tiguan's steering is nicely weighted and its chassis feels composed, making it enjoyable on winding roads. Inside, the Tiguan offers a clean, well-built cabin with generous rear legroom and up to three rows of seating. The S is the base Tiguan, getting you the same 2.0L I4 and standard IQ.DRIVE safety suite as higher trims, with cloth seats and 17-inch wheels. Its 2.0L I4 pairs with an eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, returning 25 mpg combined and enough torque for confident merging.
