Miles Overview
The 2021 Tacoma is a midsize pickup that competes with the Chevrolet Colorado, Ford Ranger, and Jeep Gladiator. The Tacoma's compact dimensions and tight turning radius make it easy to park and maneuver in town. The ride is firm, which is the price of its off-road capability, but the front seats are comfortable for long drives. Cabin space is tight, especially in the back seat, so tall passengers may find legroom limited. Toyota's reputation for durability carries over to the Tacoma, though some owners report transmission quirks. Stepping up to the SR5 from the base SR adds the 3.5L V6, a larger touchscreen, and a few more convenience features. The 3.5L V6 makes 278 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic in two-wheel drive, which is plenty for daily driving and light hauling.
