Miles Overview
The Tacoma is Toyota's compact pickup, a body-on-frame truck that's been a favorite for decades. It handles rough roads and light trails with confidence, though the base engine feels sluggish on the highway. Inside, the cabin is comfortable for a truck, but rear-seat space is tight, especially in the access cab. Owners report strong reliability, with many praising the truck's longevity, though some mention minor issues like fuse problems and trim pieces coming loose. The Delux trim is the budget-friendly way to get the 4.0L V6 and four-wheel drive, skipping some of the SR5's comfort features. Its 4.0L V6 makes 236 horsepower and pairs with the automatic transmission, giving you real grunt for towing or trail driving.
