Miles Overview
The 2018 Tacoma is Toyota's midsize pickup, offered in two- and four-door body styles with either a short or long bed. It squares off against the Chevrolet Colorado, Ford Ranger, and Nissan Frontier in the midsize truck segment. The Tacoma rides smoothly on pavement and handles confidently off-road, though the engine can feel strained on steep grades. The cabin offers generous front-seat space and a useful bed, but rear-seat legroom is tight for adults. Toyota Safety Sense is standard, and higher trims add features like dual-zone climate control and wireless charging. The Limited is the luxury-oriented Tacoma, trading the TRD Off-Road's off-road hardware for leather seats and a premium sound system. Its 3.5L V6 makes 278 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic and four-wheel drive, giving you confident traction on loose or wet surfaces. Only the Limited offers heated front seats and a power-sliding rear window, plus chrome exterior trim that sets it apart from the other trims.
