Miles Overview
The Sentra is Nissan's compact sedan, a practical choice that competes with the Corolla and Civic. It drives with a comfortable, predictable feel that suits daily commuting, though the base engine can feel a bit underwhelming on the highway. Inside, the cabin offers decent space for four adults and a trunk that's generous for the class. Reliability is a mixed bag; some owners report trouble-free miles, while others mention issues like motor mounts and electrical gremlins. The S trim keeps things simple with steel wheels and manual locks, skipping the SE-R's sportier suspension and extra power. Its 2.0L I4 makes 140 horsepower, which is enough for around-town driving, and returns 28 mpg combined. A continuously variable transmission was available on the S, making it smoother in stop-and-go traffic than the standard five-speed manual.
