Miles Overview
The 2019 Yaris is Toyota's smallest sedan, a subcompact that's easy to park and cheap to run. It's nimble in the city and light on its feet, though the engine is modest and the ride can feel busy on the highway. Inside, the cabin is simple and functional, with decent front space but a snug back seat and small trunk. Owners report few problems and low maintenance costs, which is typical of Toyota's reputation for dependability. The LE is the base Yaris, skipping the XLE's alloy wheels and upgraded audio to save money. Its 1.5L I4 makes 106 horsepower and 103 lb-ft of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic that returns 35 mpg combined. The LE's 15-inch steel wheels and cloth seats keep things simple, which is the point.
