2024 BMW 2 Series M240i xDrive

The 2024 2 Series is BMW's entry-level coupe and Gran Coupe, the smallest model in the lineup and the one to pick if you want a compact, driver-focused BMW. It's a genuinely fun car to drive, with sharp steering and a balanced chassis that makes it feel nimble on a back road. The cabin is snug in the back, but the front seats are supportive and the materials feel a step above the price point. The standard tech includes a crisp touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus the usual driver assists like forward collision warning and lane departure warning. Stepping up to the M240i xDrive from the 230i models brings the 3.0L I6, adaptive M suspension, and an M Sport differential for sharper cornering. The 3.0L I6 makes 382 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, routed through the eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, and it'll hit 60 mph in about four seconds. The xDrive system gives this coupe tenacious grip in all weather, but the trade-off is a slightly firmer ride than the rear-drive M240i.
