Miles Overview
The 2024 BMW 3 Series remains the benchmark compact sports sedan, blending everyday usability with genuine driving engagement. It squares off against the Audi A4, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and Genesis G70, all of which offer their own take on the premium compact sedan. The steering is precise and the chassis balanced, making the 3 Series feel agile and eager on a twisty road. Ride quality is firm but controlled, a trade-off for the sharp handling that defines this sedan. Inside, the cabin is driver-focused with high-quality materials and supportive seats, though rear legroom is merely adequate for adults. The M340i xDrive is the one to pick if you want the 3 Series with real muscle but don't need the full M3; the 330i is more efficient, but this is where the chassis comes alive. Its 3.0L I6 makes 382 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, routed through a eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive that get it to 60 mph in about 3.8 seconds, yet it still returns 26 mpg combined.
