Rear seat space is snug for adults, and cargo capacity is modest, so it's best for singles or couples rather than families. Stepping up from the Select adds a power driver's seat, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert, plus a larger 8.8-inch screen with Mazda's rotary controller. The 2.5L I4 makes 186 horsepower and sends it through a six-speed automatic, which is eager to rev and returns 28 mpg combined.
