2017 Lincoln MKZ Select

The MKZ is Lincoln's mid-size sedan, the one that shares its bones with the Fusion but aims higher on luxury. It drives smooth and quiet, with a ride that soaks up rough pavement without much fuss. The cabin looks sharp, though some plastics feel a bit cheap for the price, and rear headroom is tight. Owners report few serious problems, but a few have dealt with door handle covers popping and a trunk that can leak water. The Select sits between the base Premiere and the Reserve, adding niceties like leather seats and a power sunroof while skipping some of the Reserve's luxury extras. Under the hood, the turbocharged 3.0L V6 makes 350 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic and front-wheel drive, good for 21 mpg combined. The Select's optional adaptive suspension lets you firm up the ride for sportier driving, but it's the only trim at this level that offers it.
