Miles Overview
The Forte is Kia's compact car, offered as both a sedan and a hatchback for 2017. It handles predictably and rides comfortably, making it an easy car to live with day to day. The cabin is roomy for the class, with a particularly spacious back seat and a large trunk. Owners report strong mechanical reliability, though some note the seats stain easily. The SX is the top Forte, and it's the only one with the 1.6L I4 and a seven-speed automatic, while the LX and EX make do with less power. With 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque on tap, the SX feels genuinely quick, and the seven-speed automatic shifts smoothly; expect 27 mpg combined in mixed driving.
