Miles Overview
The Sierra 1500 is GMC's full-size pickup, a workhorse that also aims to be a comfortable daily driver. It drives like a proper full-size truck, with a bit of float over bumps at speed, but it's composed and predictable on the highway. Cabin space is generous, especially in crew cab models, and the materials feel sturdy if not luxurious. The SLE skips the Work Truck's base V6 for the 6.2L V8 and four-wheel drive, but you give up the SLT's leather and upgraded audio. Its 6.2L V8 makes 302 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque, routed through a four-speed automatic to four-wheel drive, so it pulls hard but returns 15 mpg combined.
