Miles Overview
This is GMC's full-size pickup, the one that shares its bones with the Silverado but aims for a slightly more upscale feel. On the road, the Sierra feels planted and composed, with steering that's direct enough for a truck its size. The ride is on the firm side when unladen, which is the trade for how well it handles a heavy load. Inside, you get a straightforward cabin with plenty of room up front, and the crew cab offers generous rear legroom. Stepping up to the Denali gets you GMC's most powerful engine, unique exterior styling, and a more luxurious interior than the SLT. The 6.2L V8 makes 403 horsepower and 417 lb-ft of torque, and the all-wheel drive and six-speed automatic put that power down smoothly. The Denali's standard magnetic ride control helps smooth out the ride, though it's still firm when empty.
