Miles Overview
The Sierra 1500 is GMC's full-size pickup, a workhorse that also aims to be a comfortable daily driver. It drives like a proper full-size truck, with a bit of float over bumps at speed, but it's composed and predictable on the highway. Cabin space is generous, especially in crew cab models, and the materials feel sturdy if not luxurious. Stepping up to the SLE adds power windows, a chrome grille, and an upgraded audio system over the base Work Truck, making it easier to live with every day. Under the hood is a 5.3L I8 making 302 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque, paired with a four-speed automatic and four-wheel drive that handles mud, snow, and towing chores without drama. A trailering package was available on the SLE, adding a hitch, wiring harness, and heavy-duty cooling for those who plan to put it to work.
