Miles Overview
The 2009 Sierra 1500 is GMC's full-size pickup, the one you cross-shop with the Silverado, F-150, and Ram 1500. It's a truck that rides like a truck, but the steering is direct and the brakes feel strong for a vehicle this size. The cabin is straightforward and built to work, with plenty of room in the crew cab and an easy-to-use dash layout. With a proper bed and strong towing ratings, this Sierra is ready for real work, and the tailgate is easy to operate. The SLT adds leather upholstery and more convenience features over the SLE, but skips the Denali's luxury touches and higher price tag. Its 5.3L V8 pairs with a automatic transmission and four-wheel drive, giving you confident traction and enough grunt for heavy towing.
