Miles Overview
The 2019 Trax is Chevrolet's subcompact crossover, slotting below the Equinox and competing with the Honda HR-V and Nissan Kicks. Its light weight and quick steering make it easy to maneuver in the city, though acceleration is modest. The ride is composed on smooth roads, and the cabin stays quiet at highway speeds. Passenger space is respectable for the class, and the rear seats fold flat to expand cargo room. Owner reviews for this generation praise its dependability, though some report intermittent electronic glitches. The Premier is the top trim, with the leather upholstery and heated seats you don't get in the LT, but you still get the same 1.4L I4. The 1.4L I4 pairs with the six-speed automatic and front-wheel drive to deliver 138 horsepower, which is enough for daily driving but won't snap your neck. The Premier's 18-inch wheels and chrome accents give it a sharper look than the LS or LT, but the ride is a bit firmer as a result.
