The 2020 Trax is Chevrolet's small crossover, slotting below the Equinox and competing with the Honda HR-V and Nissan Kicks. The Trax feels nimble in tight spaces and tracks well on the highway, though the engine works hard under full throttle. The ride is composed over broken pavement, and the cabin stays reasonably quiet at cruising speeds. Cargo space is modest for the class, but the 60/40 split rear seats fold nearly flat to expand the load floor. A 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto comes standard, along with a rear vision camera. The LS is the base Trax, so you skip the LT's upgraded audio and available heated seats, but you save several thousand dollars.
