Miles Overview
The Captiva Sport is Chevrolet's compact SUV for 2012, the one that shares its bones with the Saturn Vue and competes with the Ford Escape and Honda CR-V. It drives with a planted, stable feel on the highway, and the steering is light enough for easy parking-lot maneuvering. The ride is on the firm side, so you'll feel sharp bumps, but it stays composed on rough pavement. Inside, the cabin is straightforward and roomy for four, with a cargo area that expands when you fold the rear seats flat. Its 3.0L I6 makes 264 horsepower and routes power through a six-speed automatic to the front wheels, which nets 19 mpg combined.
