The 2021 GMC Terrain is a compact SUV that slots between the smaller Chevrolet Equinox and the larger Acadia in GMC's lineup. It competes with the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Ford Escape in the crowded compact crossover segment. The Terrain drives smoothly and quietly, with a composed ride that makes highway trips easy, though the engine can feel a bit strained when passing. Inside, the Terrain offers a straightforward cabin with comfortable seats, though rear visibility is hampered by thick pillars.
