Miles Overview
The Silverado 1500 is Chevrolet's full-size pickup, the one most people cross-shop with the Ford F-150 and Ram 1500. It rides like a proper truck, with a firm but settled feel that shrugs off rough roads and tows without drama. The cabin is straightforward and built to work, with controls you can use while wearing gloves and plenty of room in the crew cab. Overall reliability is solid, though some owners mention occasional transmission issues and rust on older examples. The LTZ adds leather upholstery, heated front seats, and a premium Bose audio system over the LT trim. Its 5.3L V8 pairs with an automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, giving you strong low-end pull for towing and daily driving.
