Miles Overview
The Bronco Sport is Ford's compact SUV that brings real off-road capability to the everyday crossover class. It competes with the Jeep Cherokee, Subaru Outback, and Toyota RAV4 TRD Off-Road. The turbo four-cylinder gives the Bronco Sport lively acceleration, and the AWD system handles gravel and snow with confidence. The ride is firm and a bit bouncy on pavement, a trade-off for its off-road-tuned suspension. The boxy body provides generous cargo space and a tall, easy-to-load opening, plus handy interior storage. The 2.0L I4 and eight-speed automatic deliver punchy acceleration on pavement and strong low-end grunt on trails, though the payoff is 23 mpg combined. The Badlands gets the twin-clutch rear drive unit with a differential lock and seven G.O.A.T. modes including Rock Crawl, making it the only Bronco Sport that can truly follow a full-size Bronco off-road.
