Miles Overview
The 2009 Fusion is Ford's mid-size sedan, a family car that competes with the Camry and Accord. It drives smoothly and handles corners with confidence, making it a pleasant companion for daily commutes. Some owners have had throttle body issues that can cause stalling, though it's often covered by a recall. Stepping up to the SEL adds leather upholstery and a power driver's seat over the SE, plus standard alloy wheels and an upgraded sound system. Its 3.0L V6 makes 221 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic, giving you confident highway merging and a smooth daily drive. The SEL can be ordered with a moonroof and heated seats, though the front-wheel-drive layout keeps things simple and efficient.
