Miles Overview
This is Dodge's heavy-duty pickup, the one built to haul and tow when a half-ton just won't cut it. It drives like the big truck it is, with a commanding view and a ride that settles down once you've got weight in the bed. Inside, the cabin is straightforward and roomy, with plenty of space for three adults and controls that are easy to use. Reliability is typical for a heavy-duty truck of this era: the drivetrain is stout, but watch for rust on the body and the usual electrical quirks. A cloth interior, manual locks, and steel wheels mark the ST as the work-truck base of the Ram 3500 lineup. The 5.9L I6 pairs with a six-speed manual or a four-speed automatic in this four-wheel drive configuration, giving you stump-pulling torque at low rpm.
