Miles Overview
This is Dodge's heavy-duty pickup, the one built to haul and tow when a half-ton just won't cut it. It drives like the big truck it is, with a commanding view and a ride that settles down once you've got weight in the bed. Inside, the cabin is straightforward and roomy, with plenty of space for three adults and controls that are easy to use. Reliability is typical for a heavy-duty truck of this era: the drivetrain is stout, but watch for rust on the body and the usual electrical quirks. Carpet flooring and manual windows set the ST apart as the work-truck base trim, while the SLT adds chrome and power accessories above it. Its 6.7L I6 makes 350 horsepower and 610 lb-ft of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic and four-wheel drive that let it pull a gooseneck trailer without breaking a sweat. The ST skips the SLT's chrome bumpers and power locks, so expect a no-frills cab that's easy to hose out after a muddy job site.
