Miles Overview
The 2010 Ram 3500 is Dodge's heavy-duty pickup, built to haul and tow far more than the half-ton models. It drives like a proper work truck: a firm, commanding ride that's stable under load, though you'll feel every bump when it's empty. The cabin is straightforward and functional, with durable materials and plenty of room in the crew cab for passengers. Expect higher fuel and maintenance costs than a half-ton, but the 3500's towing capability makes it worth it for serious haulers. The SLT adds chrome bumpers and a nicer cloth interior over the base Tradesman, without stepping up to the leather and wood of the Laramie. The SLT can be ordered with the Aisin six-speed automatic, which is a tougher transmission than the standard G56 manual for serious towing.
