Miles Overview
This is Dodge's heavy-duty pickup, the one built to haul and tow when a half-ton just won't cut it. It drives like the big truck it is, with a commanding view and a ride that settles down once you've got weight in the bed. Inside, the cabin is straightforward and roomy, with plenty of space for three adults and controls that are easy to use. Reliability is typical for a heavy-duty truck of this era: the drivetrain is stout, but watch for rust on the body and the usual electrical quirks. The ST is the work-truck trim, the one you pick when you need a 3500's capability without the SLT's chrome and carpet. The 5.7L V8 in this Ram is the Hemi, a strong gas V8 that makes good power for daily driving and heavy hauling, though it's not the diesel's torque monster. This ST has manual crank windows and vinyl floors as standard, which means it's easy to hose out after a day on the job site.
