Miles Overview
The 2019 HR-V is Honda's subcompact crossover, slotting below the CR-V and competing with the Toyota C-HR, Nissan Kicks, and Mazda CX-3. The HR-V feels light and nimble around town, with steering that makes parking and tight turns easy. Inside, the HR-V offers a surprisingly roomy cabin and a versatile Magic Seat that folds flat or flips up for tall cargo. Owners praise the HR-V's clever interior space and easy city maneuverability, though some wish it had more power. The LX is the base trim, so you get the same 1.8L engine and Honda Sensing safety suite as higher trims, but skip the alloy wheels and upgraded audio. Its 1.8L I4 makes 141 horsepower and 127 lb-ft of torque, paired with an automatic transmission and all-wheel drive that returns 29 mpg combined. The LX comes with a 5-inch display instead of the 7-inch touchscreen found on the EX and above, so you'll use your phone for navigation.
