Miles Overview
The HR-V is Honda's smallest SUV, a subcompact that fits neatly between the Fit and the CR-V in size and price. Around town it feels light and nimble, though the engine needs revs to get going and gets vocal when you push it. The cabin is roomier than the exterior suggests, with a clever rear seat that folds flat to swallow tall cargo. Owners report few major issues, though a few have noted door weather stripping that can come loose over time. The Sport is the trim for buyers who want the HR-V's style turned up without stepping up to the EX's extra equipment. It uses the same 1.8L I4 making 141 horsepower as the rest of the lineup, and with all-wheel drive it feels planted in rain or light snow while returning 28 mpg combined.
