Miles Overview
The HR-V is Honda's smallest SUV, sized between the Fit and the CR-V, and it's a good pick if you want something easy to park but with more room than a hatchback. It's not quick, but the HR-V feels nimble and light on its feet, which makes it a lot of fun in the city and on winding roads. The ride is on the firm side, so you'll feel bumps and rough pavement more than you might expect, especially from the back seat. The cabin feels surprisingly spacious for a small SUV, and the rear seats fold flat to open up a lot of cargo room. The LX is the value pick, and if you can live without the EX's sunroof and upgraded audio, you save real money. It uses a 1.8L I4 making 141 horsepower paired with an {automatic transmission} and front-wheel drive, which is adequate around town but needs planning for highway merging. Fuel economy is strong at 31 mpg combined, and the base model's steel wheels mean a noisier ride but a lower upfront cost.
